It’s been only two years since Akua Naru blew us away with an equally intense as beautiful show but we just couldn’t wait to have her back. The Connecticut born rapper changed the DNA of hip hop with her politically and socially engaged poetry. Her wonderful album The Miner’s Canary from 2015 featured the likes of Couleur Café favorites Cody Chesnutt and Blitz the Ambassador, who added to the neo-soul, blues and jazz touches Akua Naru is known for.
