This, dear friends, is exactly the kind of South American “calor” that would make us pack our bags and leave grey old Belgium behind. We got a taste of their sultry Latin-cumbia back in 2012, masterfully boosted by Bomba Estereo’s emblematic synths and basses. Close your eyes and picture yourself in a dark and sweaty underground party in a Medellin suburb before sunrise. Charismatic singer Li and keyboard-player Simon are Columbia’s most influential musicians. They’re happy to spend the 3rd of July with us and show us why.
